The sweet orange is a cold-pressed essential oil: essential oil obtained by mechanical processes from the epicarp of the fruit of a citrus Essential oil. The fruit are grown on Evergreen trees that are about 6m high, and are smaller than the bitter variety. Fruits are harvested in June and July, and peak harvesting typically ranges from 8-12 years after planting.
